TEXT: Ephesians 6:2-3
“Honour
thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
“That
it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.” (KJV)
(Emphasis mine)
INSIGHT: Respect for one’s parents (and
giving to them) positions one for prosperity
and longevity (long life).
ACTION POINT: Hold your parents (biological or surrogate) in high esteem, and always give to them
(money, attention, happiness, and, indeed, everything worth giving).
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I appreciate
you for those you gave to me as parents. Please make me a blessing to them,
even as I vow to demonstrate this gratitude by holding them in high esteem and
giving to them all they need within
the confines of my resources. I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
